1:1 Coaching can be a great option for families who want ongoing support related to supporting their child(ren). Coaching allows us to develop a relationship and dive deeper into some of the challenging you’re facing while exploring different strategies together.
How does it work?
• Initial Interview: Tell me about yourself and your family! What kinds of supports are you looking for. I can answer any questions you may have to make sure you’re feeling comfortable and you think we’re a good fit!
• Assessment: Now it’s time to dive a little deeper. Let’s work together on writing some clear goals. That way we’ll be able to see over time if we’re making progress or not, and if so, how to make the needed adjustments. This is a good time to talk about our timelines and expectations around how long we’ll work together.
• Now we’re ready to start coaching. We’ll dive in together and start to implement strategies.
• Check ins: Every couple of months we’ll check in about how the coaching is going and if there’s anything we need to adjust in our working relationship to better meet your needs.

New diagnosis coaching is designed to be a short-term relationship to help you while you get your feet back underneath you after a new diagnosis. I know this time can be really scary and you’re probably overwhelmed with figuring out what you need to do next. I can help orient you to this new information as you figure out what works next. For some, this may transition to 1:1 coaching for a longer period of time. Some may only need a few sessions.
Getting a diagnosis can be scary but it can also be incredibly liberating. A diagnosis is a tool to help you understand yourself and/or your child better. It provides a new frame of reference for what might be going on and can help guide you towards what the next steps should be.
