I have spent a lot of time grappling with the field of ABA. The harm that it has caused is immeasurable and devastating. The technology of behavior analysis has been used to feed supremacy and ableism. I am constantly working within my practice to dismantle those systems, both for my clients and also within myself. My intent with my work is to bring opportunities for normalizing disability through science and using strategies we have learned through our understanding of human behavior to work towards a higher quality of life for my clients. We must understand the context of the philosophy we are working from and continue to work to use the technology we have for good.

I value transparency and feedback. I aim to be clear about my perspectives and knowledge base. I aim to provide explicit context about how I am coming to a particular perspective so that you can make a more informed choice about what to do with that information. I don’t claim to be an authority figure on anything but believe my knowledge and background allows for informed opinions on a multitude of topics.

I am always learning and growing my perspective. I welcome feedback as a way to continue to improve. Part of my role is to elevate the voices of those who are more marginalized than my own. I seek to use my platform to lift up these voices as well as contributing my own voice to the conversation.
